People credited with all kinds of ability, talent, brains and know-how, including the ability to see into the future, frequently have nothing more than the courage to keep everlastingly at what they set out to do. They do have one quality that is worth more than all the rest put together - they simply will not quit.
Successful people, in any undertaking, would be hard pressed to tell you the day they crossed that fine line which separates winning from losing. That is why the decision you make at the beginning of an undertaking is so vitally important.
Make up your mind when you begin a project ... you will finish it ... whatever you set out to do. If you cannot agree with this one vital point you would probably be wise to set small meaningless objectives.
William James put this point in proper perspective when he told us;
"It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult undertaking which, more than anything else, will determine it's successful outcome."
When you make a decision to do something and you decide, before you begin, you will finish, then it is only a matter of time. Develop that bulldog persistence you will require and your success is guaranteed.
There is something rather sad about the person who spends their life running in circles, first trying this and then that, expecting success to be quick and never staying with anything long enough to succeed. Jobs don't have futures - people do.
"What lies before you and what lies behind you are tiny matters compared to what lies within you."
Remember, when you decide to do something - decide to FINISH IT!
